  • Brainspotting is a brain based therapy modality. When we talk or think about an issue or something that’s bothering us, our eyes naturally move to a certain spot or direction. Brainspotting therapy utilizes those eye positions (along with a few other variables) to help us process maladaptive stored memories, emotions or experiences. Click here to learn more.

  • Private pay therapy offers greater flexibility, privacy, and control over treatment. It also ensures confidentiality, as no diagnosis needs to be reported to insurance, and eliminates limitations on the number of sessions covered, leading to a more personalized and uninterrupted therapeutic process.

  • No, only individuals over the age of 18.

  • Sessions are typically 53-55 minutes long. Shorter sessions (30-45 min) are available in certain circumstances, but if you are utilizing insurance benefits, this may not impact your copay. 

  • Nope! However, depending on your individual therapy goals, sometimes we can invite your partner into an occasional session if it is beneficial to your progress in treatment. I can provide referrals for couples therapists that meet your needs.

  • This depends on your treatment goals. Often times client start off with weekly or biweekly sessions to help build the therapeutic relationship (rapport), and dependent on severity of symptoms. As treatment progresses, we may have a discussion about reducing frequency of sessions. My recommendation for frequency of treatment will be discussed during your intake session. 

  • No, the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health does not permit therapists to complete this documentation. Please speak with your primary care provider.
